About Two Roots Theatre

A theatre company rooted in real human connection.

Why we do what we do

Two Roots Theatre was created from a shared belief — that theatre should feel human. Not distant. Not perfect. But real, honest, and connected. We create work that brings people together. Work that invites audiences to feel, reflect, and recognise something of themselves in the story. Because at its heart, theatre is about connection.

Two Roots Theatre is:

Honest storytelling

Connection between performer and audience

Creating spaces where people feel safe to engage

Claire & Michael

Claire and Michael both hold a wealth of experience creating and performing a range of different works. But their expertise lies in International and language based projects. Claire’s career highlights include a charity project narrated by Sir Ian McKellen and a touring children’s production that enjoyed a run in London’s West End. Michael’s highlights include directing Seussical the Musical in Shenzhen, China, and performing in an immersive, ‘Fawlty Towers’-inspired dining experience in Melbourne, Australia, drawn from the iconic sitcom written by John Cleese.
